RECIPE

Boujee Apple Pastry

Boujee Apple Pastry
Ingredients
  • 4 Boujee Apples, sliced
  • 1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Bean Paste
  • Galette Dough:
  • 2 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, cold & cubed
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk, cold
Instructions

Slice the apples and ross them in the sugar and vanilla bean paste. Set aside.

For the galette dough, put the flour, sugar, and salt into a stand mixer with the paddle attachment. Cut the cold butter into cubes and add it to the mixer. Turn the mixer on low and let the paddle break up the butter into little pieces. You want the butter pieces to get down to pea sized. Then you will add the cold buttermilk to the flour and butter mix and blend until the dough just comes together. Don't over mix though. Take the dough out and wrap it in plastic. Chill the dough for 30 minutes so it can rest.

Roll the dough out into roughly a 12" circle. Pile the apples in the center and fold up the edges so its holding in the apples. Brush the edge of the galette with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake at 350* for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Bake until the dough is golden brown.
